Sandra Pinnavaia is Global Head of Strategy and Innovation for the On-Demand Talent division of Heidrick & Struggles, a leading global leadership advisory firm. With more than 25 years of experience both as a business executive and a management consultant at McKinsey, Sandra’s day job involves working with leaders of organizations to unlock the potential of their companies or enterprises. Sandra is a long-time supporter of early childhood education as the foundation of both individual lifetime satisfaction and effective community formation. 

She was a Trustee of the Bank Street College of Education for 20 years, on the Board of the Global Fund for Children (a global grantmaking organization supporting local NGOs serving children in some of the world’s toughest spots) for 10 years. She is also committed to the creation of opportunity for young adults and currently serves on the board of the Rome Chamber Music Festival (which launches emerging professional musicians from around the world) and chairs the regional Marshall Scholarship Selection Committee (which grants scholarships for outstanding college grads to pursue graduate degrees in the UK). 

Trained as a biochemist, Sandra is a nature lover who can’t go a week without hikes or lake time in northwest Connecticut. She and her husband have had a home in Warren for 25 years, raising three children between NYC and Litchfield County.
